Colorado Copper Crosses
My copper crosses are made using recycled copper, cut and shaped into various sizes and styles of crosses. The crosses are either left naturally copper colored, or colored using singular or a combination of techniques, which include heat, dye, paint, ammonia, vinegar and even food coloring! Occasionally I will make a copper Colorado flag, layering a copper, red-colored ‘C’ and polished brass overlay onto a blue and etched rectangular piece of copper.
I've honed my design of crosses and have developed a design that is truly unique and unlike anything else available. The crosses can be used as a pendant on a necklace, placed on a wall using only a pushpin, attached to a cord and hung from something like a rear-view mirror, or standing alone on a table or mantel.
