Emma Menke Art
After graduating from the University of Arkansas in 2019 with a BFA in Art Education with a focus in painting and photography, I made the move out west to Colorado where I taught public school art before pursuing my art career as a landscape painter.
My artwork is inspired by my experiences hiking, traveling, and camping in the great outdoors. Each piece reflects the moments of connection I’ve felt while immersed in nature- whether it’s the stillness of a moonlit mountain, the vibrant hues of wildflower meadows, or the quiet presence of wildlife. These adventures fuel my creative process, allowing me to translate the landscapes I explore into vibrant, expressive paintings. Through bold colors and expressive brushstrokes, I aim to capture not only the visual essence of these wild places but also the emotions they evoke- peace, wonder, and connection. My artwork celebrates the natural world with a balance of realism and artistic abstraction.
Traveling through remote landscapes has taught me to see the world through a lens of curiosity and gratitude, and I strive to bring that perspective into my art. Ultimately, my goal is to celebrate the natural world and inspire others to find their own connections to it, whether through adventure, appreciation, or stewardship.
