Re-Tired Generation
Re-Tired Generation is where my passions for recycling, fashion, and human connection come together. Each piece transforms reclaimed bike inner tubes into unique, earth-conscious accessories; durable, lightweight, and designed for real life. But the story behind them begins long before the brand.
Since 2001, my path has been rooted in service and care. I first became licensed in massage therapy, then spent years as a firefighter and EMT, eventually moving into home health nursing for the elderly. Those experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the beauty of meeting people exactly where they are. Just like in art, I learned that no two stories, or styles, are ever the same.
Creativity has always been my parallel calling. From sewing for my dolls in Minot, ND, to building a Janis Joplin inspired bus, I’ve chased ways to live beyond the ordinary. In 2011, I stepped away from corporate life and founded Re-Tired Generation, a personal declaration to reimagine waste and fashion with purpose.
Every piece I make is both a conversation starter and a small act of rebellion against the throwaway mindset. When you wear Re-Tired Generation, you’re not just accessorizing; you’re honoring sustainability, individuality, and the soulful journey we all share.
