Rekindled
Each of my pieces is thoughtfully handmade in my studio in Parker, Colorado. I primarily work with a mix of secondhand and new wood, which I source from estate sales, community donations, and my smallest pieces which are found on-line. I love giving new life to reclaimed materials—each piece of wood has its own history and character, which often inspires the direction of the design.
The process begins with selecting and preparing the wood, followed by designing each piece with an emphasis on texture, balance, and playfulness. I then hand-paint every piece, often layering colors and patterns to bring out the unique qualities of the material and to create something that feels one-of-a-kind. The pieces are then sealed with multiple layers of polyurethane and meticulously refined to achieve their final form.
