Pretty Fly Designs offers hand tied feather earrings crafted by professional fly-fishing guide and fly tier, Capt. Chris Siess.

Chris has been tying flies and fly fishing for over thirty years, including guiding in Aspen for several years. In 2018, he was asked to make a pair of feather earrings for a friend. The response was positive, so he began tying earrings for more friends. The proverbial snowball started rolling and soon Pretty Fly Designs was born. Seven years later, and Pretty Fly Designs is his full-time job.

Chris loves using natural colors, blending them with dyed feathers to create one-of-a-kind styles for his clients. Each design is hand tied with high-quality feathers and advanced fly-tying techniques to last several years. They are the perfect fashion compliment for a casual social gathering to a black-tie event. You can find a wide variety of lengths and styles at the Aspen Emporium. A few times a year, Chris does pop up events at the Emporium as well!

Why the name Pretty Fly Designs? His fishing boat is named Pretty Fly!
